What is AI Content for SEO?
AI content is text generated or significantly assisted by language models like GPT-4 or Claude. Google explicitly does not penalize AI content per se - it penalizes low-quality content. Used well, AI content scales editorial output 5 to 20x. Used poorly, it floods a site with rank-killing fluff.
What Google actually said
Google's official position: helpful content ranks regardless of how it was created. Low-effort or auto-generated content created primarily to manipulate rankings is targeted by the Spam Policies. The line is intent and quality, not authorship.
AI content that ranks
Topic-mapped, factually verified, internally linked, written for a specific audience, and edited by a human with subject expertise. AI does the draft, human does the judgment.
AI content that doesn't rank
Topic-spam (every keyword variation as a separate page), no original insight, no internal linking, no human review, no E-E-A-T signals. Google's helpful content updates target these patterns aggressively.
How Unled Network helps
