The Challenge

PayStream is a B2B payment-infrastructure platform selling into a small, defined buyer set: roughly 1,400 named accounts across three verticals. ABM motions at this size have no margin for slow agency cycles. A competitor announcement, a regulatory shift or a target-account movement all need a creative response inside the same news cycle.

Their previous agency operated on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday cadence and a Zendesk ticket queue. Average turnaround on a creative pivot was 6 working days. By the time campaigns shifted, the news that triggered the shift was no longer relevant.

Our Approach

01

One shared Telegram thread

On day one we set up a single chat: PayStream's CMO and demand-gen lead, our account manager, our backup AM, the LinkedIn buyer, the Google buyer, and the creative lead. No separate threads, no ticket portal, no email. One room, full team.

02

Always-on creative bench

PayStream gets allocated creative bandwidth that is not project-gated. When a brief comes in at 9pm, the creative lead who is awake picks it up, not a freelancer who needs to be onboarded to the brand for the third time this quarter.

03

Pre-built rapid-response asset templates

We built a library of ABM-style asset templates (event-triggered, news-triggered, competitor-triggered) with locked brand grids and replaceable hero copy. A pivot does not mean designing from scratch; it means swapping the headline, the supporting stat and the CTA into a known-good template.

04

Backup AM with the full context

When the primary AM is asleep, the backup AM is in the same chat, has been briefed on the account weekly, and is empowered to authorize creative kicks. PayStream's CMO does not have to wait until the East Coast wakes up.

wakes up.

Execution Timeline

Trigger
9:14pm UTC, competitor announces a feature move that directly impacts PayStream's primary positioning thesis. CMO drops a paragraph in the shared Telegram chat.
9:21pm
Backup AM acknowledges, pings the creative lead, drafts a counter-positioning brief and posts it in chat for approval.
10:48pm
Creative lead delivers two static variants and one short video built off the rapid-response template; CMO approves variant A.
By 9am next morning
New creative live across LinkedIn ABM and Meta retargeting against the named-account list. Old creative paused. Reporting baseline reset.

Results

    Results

    • Median first-response on Telegram across the last twelve months: 4 minutes 12 seconds during business hours, 17 minutes overnight.
    • Three documented overnight pivots in the first nine months, each from brief to live creative inside 12 hours.
    • Zero ticket-queue incidents, the previous agency averaged 14 open tickets at any moment.
    • PayStream's CMO has gone on record (above) with the comparison: this is the comms experience B2B fintech buyers need but rarely get from agencies.

The Telegram support is genuinely the best I've experienced. When we needed to pivot our campaign strategy overnight, they had new creatives live by 9am next morning.

What This Engagement Taught Us

  • Comms speed is a creative-output multiplier. The fastest agency in the room ships more iterations and wins the test cadence.
  • Ticket queues are the wrong tool for performance accounts. Use them for billing. Do not use them for creative.
  • ABM motions at small named-account counts cannot tolerate slow cycles. The agency stack has to match the pace of the market.
